Hi everyone,
This is my first post here, but I've found many of your topics enlightening. I too am an ex-apostolic and have found many of the beliefs of the pentecostal church to not be true to reality. I post this because I wanted to get some sincere responses from those on this forum that still believe in Jesus Christ as divine or divinely-ordained and believe that he was resurrected from the dead. I personally have come to the belief that the Bible is not infallible, but rather errant in many places. I do believe in the possibility of God, as the creator of the universe, but am not certain in that belief. Thus, I am interested to hear the reasons why those of you who still believe in Jesus Christ, more or less the way the new testament speaks of him, still believe. More specifically, why do you believe he was resurrected from the dead, why do you believe God decided to make a man worthy of worship after he spent the old testament commanding the israelites to worship no other but him? I truly am interested in honest answers, as I would like to continue to believe in Jesus if the basis of Christianity is verifiably or demonstratively true. It's just at this point, I'm finding better arguments against its validity, than those for it.
Looking forward to your enlightened responses...
Jake
