I have a younger brother who went to an Assembly of God summer camp. He was not comfortable being there alone and he wanted me to come be there also(I am 13
years older than him). So I obliged and my little brother was very happy and proud to have me there. The meetings were quite intense and the main speaker did a
good job of what I'd call teaching the kids to speak in tongues(my brother acquired some kind of short repetitious two-word phrase during the meeting).
Anyway, later my brother and I were waiting in line for a meal or something and the same speaker was in front of us. My brother, being proud of big brother
being there, tells the speaker "This is my brother!" ....Anybody want to guess what the speaker's reply was regarding me?.........I can't
forget it because it still makes no sense coming from somebody who is supposedly "spirit-filled": "Well, that's not your fault." That
was his response to my brother who was about 8 or 9 at the time. If I could do things over, I'd at that time called up my parents and told them to come get
us away from the fraud. His remark was an insult not only to me, but to my brother and parents. Anybody else have some memorable phrases stuck in their heads
from pentecostal people?
