Coffee is my ritual, but I don't really need it or anything to wake up, usually. In fact, coffee at bed time doesn't even keep me awake, so I don't
think caffeine affects me much.

Coffee puts me to sleep also. Must be an engineer thing.

Lemon tea with two sugars and/or a cooked breakfast.

I live right across the street from my job. . . and so it's normally the brisk walk from home to my job, and right when I get there, I normally have to
drink an energy drink to ensure that I'll stay awake for the next 8 hours of the shift. But, it's usually only good for 4 hours or so, so just for the
last couple of hours, I'll drink a coke and sometimes take a xanax so that I don't want to split from work early.

Time. I used to think it was coffee, but my tolerance is well built up there. On days when I don't have coffee I wake up in the same amount of time as
coffee days. So, time going by is what does it for me. I'd say about 45 minutes to an hour.
I always have a high protein breakfast first thing, but that's what keeps me going all day. |
