(Long post warning)
Hi.
I am in a lot of pain today emotionally so keep me in your thoughts. It is so rare I get this low. I have done a mammoth amount of work, literally a hundred hours of intense internet research in almost no time and I just need to come out of my shell in so many ways. I can't stand silence anymore. I made an announcement in the private forum and want to make another here.
I am not a Christian. I have been studying this for a decade.
Christians have no right to claim to hold the patent on Jesus Christ, and his name isn't greek its Aramaic/Hebrew and is Yeshua or Joshua. (I am not preaching I am just getting this off my chest so I can sleep)
I have done an intense study of the Bible and after much prayer and searching I cannot believe that the Bible is without error, in fact I have found so many clear errors in both Old and New. (I am not slamming the Bible I am simply stating what I feel I have found)
I don't want this to sound juvenile or just like another religious group trying to be different (and still the same) from everyone else.
1) I do not believe that the Levitical Law is correct. I believe it is rife with forgery and horrid laws that were made by man.
2)I do not believe that there ever was a need for a Temple Sacrifice or the command for the shedding of blood. Isaiah, Jeremiah and David all attest to this.
3) Since Jesus never mentioned the word GRACE and never taught a gospel of grace or unmerited favor I cannot find any room to believe it. Jesus taught that we would be judged by how we treated others, how we defended the poor, provided for widows. He repeatedly spoke of keeping the commandments and following his commandments. I believe that he will KNOW those who love others.
4) I believe that Christianity came into being when the Jews were kicked out of Jerusalem for several hundred years and the JEWISH religioun of believing Joshua was the Messiah became a Gentile religion because the Jews had been locked outt.
5) I believe that the FIRST Gospels were written in Aramaic, not Greek. Many of the sayings of Jesus are Aramaic and there are several examples of verses not making any sense because the Greek mistranslated what makes perfect sense in Aramaic. For instance..... It is easier for a camel to go thru the eye of a needle..... is probably wrong. The Greek word for camel fails to cover what in the Aramaic is not only more correct but also understandable. The Aramaic and the Greek are similar in how the word looks. In english the word is ROPE. Particularly a rope made from camel hair (common at the time) So more than likely the verse is saying...it is easier for a rope to go thru the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.
6) (Apologies to all here if this next line offends) I believe that Paul's letters are chicken-pocked with errors, inconsistencies and outright forgeries. I believe that Paul was a headstrong and charismatic person (what Pentecostal isnt) and believed he was right. However, it is my belief that his decision to not learn from the Disciples but go right into ministry shows what caused the real errors. He doesnt sound at all like Jesus, he contradicts Jesus and if he wrote the words he did, he and Jesus have two totally different views on women. He teaches some bizarre things and where we have a Jesus who enjoyed life and relished in living instead with Paul we get a rationing, an abstaining, a seperation from the very people Jesus came for and spent so much time with. Seven out of Ten sermons from the NT are from Pauls writings. Jesus takes the back seat every time. I believe Paul wavers, contradicts himself and loved to get in fights so he could boast about it. (Again, so very Pentecostal and it is because of Paul that we have so many likeminded Ministers in the church who love a fight instead of being servants and full of compassion like Jesus. There is also clear signs of major disagreements with the disciples and also proof that Paul or a follower of Paul wrote the Book of John. Jesus said to follow the law, Paul said we were cursed if we follow the law. I see a clear difference.
Christians will say I am pointing to works not grace. I dont believe that there really is a thing called grace. I believe that Gods law didnt need to change. It was NEVER impossible for man to keep, instead man added many false laws to it. (Much like churches do today with dress, music, drinking, etc) Jesus summed up the law and explained it is a buzzline sentence. Short and sweet. He never said he was abolishing it. I believe the laws of the ten commandments are just as relevant and fresh today as they were then. It is the foolish additions of man such as not eating shellfish, being ceremonially unclean after sex, stoning for petty mistakes that were made by man.
HOW can Paul say the Law does not apply and yet use the law to condemn others such as gays? He even said to try to keep one law made one accountable to keep them all. He says we are not under the law and then he goes back to the OT to cut out homosexuals. And this is the wierd sentence.
I COMPLETE IN MY BODY WHAT WAS LACKING IN THE SUFFERING/SACRIFICE OF JESUS.
Nothing was lacking. He also wasnt there for the sermon about not naming names or calling yourself fathers because Paul goes and calls them his children and says he is their father.
I believe that JESUS (JOSHUA) is the expression of what GOD the Father always was and is and wanted and wants-therefore I follow him.
I believe that there is no need for a NEW Testament. Jesus came to correct the Old. I believe that Jesus came in the OLD Testament as a fulfillment of prophecy. I believe that his teachings are the LAWS that we are to live by.
I do not believe that the New Testament is any more inspired of God than the OT. I believe that the Gospels should be in the OLD Testament because it is the appearance of God Himself to correct the errors man had made. Seperating the two (to me) is wrong for several reasons. It creates a false PART ONE and PART TWO set.
It creates fans of both and a merging of the two into the Christian religion.
I believe that the Bloody Temple System was a cult that was brought out from Egypt and that a clear reading of Jeremiah and Ezekiel reveal how God detested blood sacrifices and even angrily asked, "When you do these things, who asked this of you?"
I believe that those who walk in the Lord today are the walking in the SAME way as those who were his faithful in the OT. Contrary to Christianese the righteous were FAR from blameless, sinless. But they had a heart for God and walked with Him. There is no difference today.
The sinners prayer isnt really Scriptural. The altar call is a man made thing. According to Christianese salvation comes simply by saying a prayer. According to the Gospels it comes from following Jesus. They are two different things.
So, I believe that the laws of Jesus are the Laws of the Kingdom and that true followers are known by following after them and loving, caring for, defending others. (I rarely see these character traits in many people who are Christians. I am NOT suggesting that Christians are not saved but rather the "religion" is foundationally flawed and ends up drawing a good deal of them away from Jesus and making them more like half-temple cult, half self righteous creations.
I believe that the Bible is a book of words, ink and dust that God has indeed blessed but is certainly not something to ever revere as Holy in the iconic sense. I believe much of the OT is Levitical heresy against the teachings of Jesus (Joshua) and that it is from these passages that we get the legacy of abuse and bloodshed.
I believe that the foundation of the church with PASTORS, EVANGELISTS, PROPHETS, etc is a LATER creation of structure that appears without warning as already made in Scripture and is not based on the teachings or desires of Jesus but on the instructions of Paul or similar.
I believe that the original Gospels were destroyed and the religion of the Jewish Messiah was replaced with the GREEK NAMED Holy One from where we get JESUS.
I do not believe that Jesus came to usher in Christianity. I believe he came to usher in the CORRECT way to follow Him and live as God's creation.
I believe that there are clear contradictions between the teachings of Jesus and the Christian Church.
Therefore I reject the foundations and substance of Christianity as being a religious cult based on the OT Temple Cult, the Teachings of Paul and the corruption of Constantine.
I call myself a JOSHUAN because to men it seems to say loudly that I follow after Joshua and a Joshuan (am Like Joshua)
The name Christ is meaningless because it was a generic term and meant king, leader, magical one, anointed one.
Since my beliefs are so fundamentally different from established Christianity I found it unreasonable, unsatisfying and misleading to call myself a Christian.
I am a Joshuan and above all else I will serve Joshua.
I do not recognize the man made levels of church leadership, its corporate abusive structure or its lust for conquest.
It is just my personal belief but I believe that by seperating myself from so much of what I was taught that I am finally able to put JOSHUA back into place as my God.
I hope you do not mind that I wrote all of this. I hope you will not be offended. I am not saying anyone here needs to change. I just needed to get this out of the closet as well.
Names are unimportant but I felt the need for a different name because my beliefs are so different and I wanted something to boldly put Jesus (Joshua) in as Head.
Pastors will say I am a cultist-well, the cult needed a name then. It is my prayer to see that an ALTERNATIVE is aired to the world to counter the shaky foundation and abusive house of Christianity. A place that the millions and millions of Christians who truly love Jesus can be free to worship Jesus and not be like ducks making Foe Gra (sp) being force fed the bull that so many churches cram down our throats.
I feel that by calling myself a Joshuan that there is a refreshing and deliberate seperation from the bull and the bullish. I am free and LIBERATED to actually dive into living for Jesus and if any church people dont care then tough I am a different religion than they are!!!!
So hi, I am a Joshuan. It is nice to meet you all.
I was in pain and needed to write this. I hope you understand. I feel sooooooo much better now. Worlds better. I have aired the truth from my heart. (And again, I love and accept you all here and will not try to change you)
