It's that time of year again, folks, where all the pentes arrange Halloween parties masquerading as 'fall festivals' with candy rains for the kiddies to keep them from trick-or-treating, where people donate crafts to be sold for the building fund, and where extremely off-base tales of the holiday's pagan roots are discussed.
Thankfully, very few of us are forced to attend those parties anymore, and I was wondering how your average ex-Pente celebrates Halloween.
I personally will be going to my parish's party, then coming home to acknowledge the new year, and then going to bed after a long day of being dressed like a vampire at my work giving candy to the kiddies. I might even give out a little candy to some trick-or-treaters.
