My brother and his wife seem to be brainwashed by this religion. There are a few things going on. I am from a pretty small town, however, my family and I moved to a bigger city an hour away. I had a friend whom I considered close for a while. She became very heavily involved with this religion. She divorced her husband until he would become part of it and once he did, they married again. He is literally in zombie form. Posting religious posts on Facebook several times per day. Friends in common have dropped them asfriends because his extreme behavior is just too much. They have an excuse for everything and tell you that having god in your life will create division among family and friends. My former friend has a very evil and envious spirit about her, therefore over a year ago I totally cut ties. She knew OF my brother but did not know him well. It was not ONE week after I cut ties that some how her and her husband became best friends with my brother and his wife who I was very very close with. The reasoning for the friendship was their young daughters became friends. As you can imagine my feelings that my ex EVIL friend has now befriended my close family. This led to us not speaking for a year and we are still pretty much not a family anymore. My brother was never very religious but a good guy. His wife has really played a part in his personality transformation. Now suddenly my brother and his wife do nothing besides with this church. They claim this church was life altering. I recently seen pictures of them in this church with my former friends. Why do they all look so lost and miserable? These people have become family to each other. It is like us outsiders are the devil. They are withdrawn and different. Now my brother and my ex friend are in this cult together. He sees them more than his own family. This church is crazy! A traveling "healer" comes to town and claims to heal these people? They cry, fall down, just act crazy! Now my educated family is blindly following. Will they ever snap out if it? What draws them in?
