Ah, yes, because in the gospel of Mammon it says thou shalt cheat thy employees and treat them poorly, and thou shalt not payest out overtime unless caught not paying it and sued by thy employees. Oh, wait, that's not in the Bible (And Jesus said you cannot serve both God and Mammon) but immorality about money seems to be a big part of the whole Pentecostal thing. I worked in a grocery store for a while up north that was unionized (United Food and Commercial Workers) our benefits and service were a lot better than wal-mart's and most of the people who worked there when I worked there seven or eight years ago are still there. We had one Fundamentalist Christian worker who took it upon himself (against the manager's orders, he'd asked if he could and been told no) to remove the Maxim magazines from the magazine rack because "Wal-mart stopped selling them, they're pornographic." The assistant manager, backed by the manager, made him put them back and then wrote him up. Then he made a point of saying to the rest of us "This is not wal-mart, remember that." When the dude attempted to file a grievance, the union steward laughed at him and told him in no uncertain terms what he thought about it. The UFCW and Wal-Mart don't like each other much.
I couldn't have said that better myself.  Michael Moore said almost that exact thing in his last documentary(not just about wal-mart but a lot of corps) I was screwed 8000 times by wal-mart and I think they are in a bunch (like a couple hundred) class actions suits right now.  I stopped shopping there when they got rid of the meat cutters because they wanted to start a union.  Who wants week old meat?  Not me, I'll go somewhere that pays their employees enough they don't have to file for welfare.  I know they'll do a better job (nobody does good when they are overworked and underpaid).  It's ok because walmart is digging their own grave, now that their prices are not so low anymore (too many suppliers threaten to cut them off for their strangleholding policy).
