not sure what flavor of Pente you were raised, but I know that some place a lot more emphasis on revelation than others. Also, I was raised Assembly of God, where there wasn't much talk about other denominations. Catholics were definately not christian in their eyes, but the other churches like Presbyterians, Methodists, Baptists ect... were a huge grey area. It wasn't a problem to go into those churches, and the only talk was that maybe they weren't "on fire."

I think it can help a lot to learn about what other christian beliefs are, my venture into that area was at a christian college where an assignment was to learn a little about other major branches of Christianity. There were choices, and we were divided in groups, some of the choices were Catholic, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Eastern Orthodox, Mennonite. It was very enlightening to learn that there were different beliefs, yet they all consider themselves christian. Also, it was eye opening to experience what I can only describe as "christian love" and a sense of welcoming from people who might not be considered christians in the pente church.
