I am just glad I left before the "Left Behind" series invaded the church. It was bad enough when as a sophomore in high school we were forced to read a book on the rapture by Ernest Angely by the pastor's wife in a sunday school class. I wasn't so terrified of missing the rapture so much as I was terrified of someone from the pulpit naming some generic sin then pointing at me as if I were guilty of it.
