Blackdog,

I have to give credit to the pastor, however, because the man was well-read, albeit in biased religious books.  I am not sure what secular books he read.  I still don't understand where he got that MLK was communist.  He probably read it from some whacked ultra-fundamentalist author who got his book self-published.  It was as if the church leadership looked for books that were opposite of mainstream literature to justify their beliefs.  A Woman Rides the Beast by Dave Hunt and books by Tex Marrs were encouraged readings because of their staunch anti-Catholic sentiments.

And books about creation science is another story.

"...above all things, lose no occasion of exercising your dispositions to be grateful, to be generous, to be charitable, to be humane, to be true, just, firm, orderly, courageous, &c. Consider every act of this kind, as an exercise which will strengthen your moral faculties & increase your worth."
