Yes, they do tend to point out the Catholics. And I could mention evil done by every denomination at one point or another. Most of the "greats" of the early years had their bad sides.

Many modern groups started out very much like the Pentecostals. There are also records of short- lived movements that started out the same way. However, I'm not aware of them ever trying to subvert other churches- possibly try to steal members, but not subvert. I think this "movement" is different. Then there are the financial connections. The pentecostals are tied to big money. Their goals support Big Business and the richest people in this country- think about it. No critical thinking. Kneejerk reaction to anything resembling "socialism"- such as unions, etc. Obedience to abusive authority. Submission. Rejection of science. Control of thinking. Anti-tax (which works out to benefit the rich but barely anyone else). I'd bet that other people could come up with other aspects such as I've mentioned.

I think we're dealing with a religious movement that bad as it is, has also been hijacked by a political movement of sorts that is anti- freedom and opposed to anything remotely populist.
