JoRi :good It could be that the apparent 'holiness' is measured by extreme external rules in some churches (especially ones I've read about on this forum!). In churches where there's no dress code etc. it seems to me that it's measured by 'having it all together' or some such arbitrary thing... I knew people in ministry in the Vineyard church who never under any circumstance admitted to any weakness or sadness or lack of control in anything (to keep respect?), and others who were really in need of counselling for their extreme workaholism and desperate need to 'help' all those who were seen to 'not have it all together' (Savior mentality). If you're always in control of yourself and others, then naturally you must have spiritual authority!! :puwhk
