Thanks, Tim. I agree with everything you've said. I actually did have one person tell me once (on another forum, for what that's worth) that she had not a doubt in her mind that her father would have killed her.

I think you are right about the serious mental problems in the cases I listed. I also suspect that, had they been immersed in a culture that DID NOT accept demons as a reality and supernatural beings conversing directly with people, their mental health issues may have been addressed by proper medical intervention. As it was, though, they were just saying the same stuff everyone else said about God and demons and what have you, so there was no cause for alarm.

I saw Robert Hawkins' mother interviewed and she kept repeating that of course the Lord comes first, BUT she loved her son. I guess I just wonder how that effects a child, knowing that your parent loves an unseen entity with a "documented: history of asking parents to kill their children more than they love the child.

Of course, it's entirely possible that I'm taking this further than it needs to go, but I'm interested in opions from here because you are all FAR more acquainetd with the flaws of the P?C system than I am.

I know it's a very hard question, though. I've considered removing it because I can imagine it being too raw a topic. (If anyone feels that way, please let me know and I will delete it (if that's possible) or ask the moderators to do so.)

Thanks.
