A lot of charismatics are guinuinely deluded. Although they hold good jobs, they've lost the ability to think somewhere along the line.

I think there's two aspects of the charismatic movement:
"Renewal" of existing denominations (mainstream denominations) and "Restoration of the church" (networks of fellowships relating to a so-called "apostle"/more Latter Rain). People in the renewal movement wouldn't necessarily view speaking in tongues as crucial, wheareas the Restorationists would promote tongues. Movements like the Vineyard movement probably fall into both camps, as they integrate with mainstream churches but follow some Restorationist agenda. There's another reason why some of the more modern charismatic groupings don't insist on speaking in tongues: frenzied Pentecostal meetings have put them off.
