Revisited Discussion

Given the possible upcoming national publicity into Palin's religion, I think I should reopen this topic for debate - yes, friendly debate - as an input to a final article that clearly defines Pentecostalism and the Charismatic movement, and defines it in such a way that its effects logically follow from its definitions.

I am not interested in what Pentecostals and Charismatics say that they are, but what they really are.

So, I wish to begin with the core definition:

(1) What IS Pentecostalism - the definition

Also, we should proceed with this follow-up

(2) What is the definitive DIFFERENCE between Pentecostalism and Charismaticism. Are they the same thing. How different?

Let is begin at the beginning, work out the nuances, and eventually move on into the NECESSARY EFFECTS that follow from our tight definitions.

Intellectuals, jump in here!
