The group I left was a home fellowship. In the past they had rented a building but they eventually lost their lease and since the membership was always small they never got another building. They just meet each sabbath at this one ladies' house and that's where they were meeting when I started going. Since it is a seventh day sabbath keeping congregation which uses the names Yahweh and Yahshua, there aren't too many others who want to get involved and hence the small membership. At some of the other locations however down near Pensacola, and one or two of the groups in Texas have buildings they use for their assemblies. So I guess the one I went to is only a home group for economic reasons and not as a brain washing mechanism.

We were a very open and tolerant group and full of friendliness and true genuine hospitality. It was sad that I had to stop fellowshipping because I really enjoyed all of their company and we always had a great time. And once per year at the Feast of Tabernacles in the fall, all of the groups would come together for a week... about 150 to 200 people total. The group is called Congregation of Yahweh and if anyone is curious, their website (of which I used to be webmaster... and it is still up the way I had it including the morphing graphic of Yahweh's name I made :-)) is at: www.congregationyhwhpc.com/. (I also made the logo graphic! pretty cool huh)

Anyway, prior to this, I once attended another home fellowship that was charismaniac in nature. I didn't go but a two or three times and although they did stuff like cast out demons and prophetic utterances and stuff like that, they weren't terribly mind controlling or brainwashing etc., or at least I didn't get that impression. If they had been I wouldn't have gone back the second time.

Old Fashioned House Cleaning

"And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet - Leviticus 14:52
