The UPCI is a membership org for ministers -- it's not a megalithic church in the traditional since where normal people are members, or with vaste holdings or anything. As a ministerial group, the group only serves to protect their unified message, and to protect each other, and to prove to the IRS that they're a real church . . .

All real monies lie within the local church, each of which is controlled by their pastor like a lord over his manor. The local church is at the disposal of the minister -- for whatever he needs, and many see no real difference between personal monies or the church coffers. In some churches, it is simply the same bank account (since the IRS only taxes pastoral salary).
