Boy, ain't that the truth. Never liked contemporary Christian music much. Some Christian rock is okay, but it all pales before the real thing: Aerosmith, AC/DC, Stones, etc.

I think there are two reasons: 1. Composers of Christian music are, by definition, constrained in what they can produce. Nothing wrong with that, per se, just a fact. If they didn't follow the rules, it wouldn't be Christian music. 2. There's a much smaller talent pool. Statistically, there would be fewer gifted folks in the CCM world than in secular.

This applies to CCM in general, and even more to the P/C subgenre, of course. That and a reason 3: P/Cs are nuts. :acccck
