Hey Vamp, Are you in therapy ? I remember you saying you were going to start or had started. I love horror movies, always have. I particularly liked demon type horror movies when I was younger but now they mostly seem silly. I have found that the image of the crucifix in horror films is so scary and now if I see a crucifix anywhere, it gives me a dark feeling. It symbolizes so much pain in my life and mental distress and fear. I don't have one in my home. I have a theory on the love of horror films. Because we ( me anyway) were raised with such non stop fear about the rapture and hell and beheadings and that fear is so deep we are in a state of constant fight or flight. This is where the anxiety and ocd come in. I think the horror movies were a release of soome fear. We can watch a scary movie and get a good ' fear ' out and nothing bad happens. Unlike the life we were taught where everything had a dire consequence, horror movies is a ' safe' place to let off a little fear. That's my take anyway. You can kind of get a little adrenaline rush out of the film and when it's over go back to life. Like we are a fear volcano and need to let off a little steam/ pressure now and then to keep going .
