I landed with the United Methodists, who are pretty mainstream, and it has been a healing experience for me. I've done a 180 not on matters of faith in God/the general rightness-for-me of the Christian tradition, but more on my sense of what it means to live that tradition. My political leanings, for example, have changed a lot, as I have come to believe that my faith compels me to pursue social justice and stand up for the downtrodden.

Certain religious activities still bother me a LOT, such as the notion of a "quiet time" or "devotional."
