I was on staff with a youth pastor who would order water at restaurants. Then he would ask the waitress to bring him some lemons. Not one slice in his water, but a saucer full. Then he would use the sugar on the table to make lemonaide. His excuse was he was a poor struggling youthpastor and needed to save money where he could.  He taught the youth to do this as well. Talk about tacky and embarrassing.

Samesies! I would often go out with large groups and everyone would have water with lemon. So not only were they getting a free drink, they forced the waitress to work twice as hard to get it.

Someone said something about rearranging tables and leaving them that way.. My groups would always do that too. They'd take over an entire place and leave it a disaster. They'd sit there for hours upon hours going through water after water and then leave the dining room looking like Joplin. Oh and it should be mentioned that half the time the group ordered half off appetizers (which you're supposed to tip on the full price, not the discounted price, cheap bastards they were), so the waitress would work for 2-3 hours for this group of 15-25, refilling waters, cleaning their mess, all for a total tip from the whole table of maybe, MAYBE twelve dollars. I was so embarrassed to be a part of that.
