I have been following this one. The church isn't pentecostal, but I think the story is relevant to this board, because if this pastor wins (which I doubt that he will) we are all at risk for lawsuits when we tell about our pente experiences or give our opinion about specific denominations and churches on facebook, blogs, message boards etc.

The woman wrote a google place review of the church. It kept getting removed, so she started a blog. The pastor isn't just going after her. He has named five people in this lawsuit, including her daughter, who only commented on one of her mother's blog posts. He has made a total fool of himself, attacking the mother on the google places reviews and now that the story has gone viral, it will be heard by way more people than read google reviews.

Even though this church isn't pentecostal, the pastor has a lot of the same control issues that many pente pastors exhibit. If a pastor makes his congregation shun someone when they leave or are asked to leave, then he is afraid that if you maintain contact, you will soon start to see through the thin veil that shrouds whatever behaivor, motivations, or lies the pastor is trying to hide.

In response to any questioning, I have heard my pastor brother-in-law and my sister tell many people, "We are driving the bus in this direction. If you don't like it, get off the bus." Then they would start talking about how unspiritual that person is or how they have a rebelious spirit or they like to stir up trouble. By the time they ran the person off, everyone would be ready to shun them and scared that the evil person had managed to get a foothold in their church, possibly keeping revival and the move of the Spirit at bay.

When I left the church, he started to quietly try and discredit me because he knew I knew too many of his secrets and he was afraid that I would start expose his lies. I had several people, including my own mother, tell me he was telling people I had mental issues and I needed to be on medication. He would also say that I was given to dramatics and exageration.
