Just when I started to forget the Bush era intolerance, extremists and anger I am watching it show itself again with how Palin and her group is trying to get Letterman fired. Sure he told a joke and it was misapplied to Palin's younger daughter. Now she is stirring up a storm of intolerance to get him fired and the people are picketing outside holding signs calling David Letterman a sexual predator! This woman will only stir up strife in office. I have lost all respect for her. Obama has played it cool even when he felt his family was wronged and handled things correctly. This woman is the same old smear tactics and extremism. I hope this backfires and I hope that the Democrats say, this woman FAILED at getting a person fired, she can't succeed in office. Just my opinion.

His joke was in bad taste, and he deserved to be called on it. Joking isn't the issue. It's the nature of the joke itself. I seriously doubt if either of the Obamas would stand for their daughter to be joked about in this manner.

McCain knew this too. They rigged the convention so that the pregnant girl appeared with her boyfriend in front of the whole nation and they put forth the fraud that they were engaged to be married, but we now know that this was a lie. So, she dragged us into a trailer park trash drama of a girl getting knocked up, and dragging the buck stud on stage for all to see. What a sick, disgusting parade from the party of "family values." This sort of thing is supposed to be handled privately and quietly. Now we have this low class redneck drama from Alaska being plastered on magazine shelves everywhere in supermarkets. And this is supposed to be presidential material? Palin owes US ALL an apology. We do not want to hear about this sick stuff. This is for Hollywood white trash, not for our presidential election. We should expect more dignity than that for people running for president. Then again, we might be a white trash nation after all, and perhaps these crazy people might really be true "representatives" of this country. I hope not. Lutherius "I cannot and I will not recant.
