Now, if you drive along US69 between Beaumont and Longview, you have no chance. They know you are not a redneck, so you are dead meat!!! LOL

Interesting topic. Not sure how this will go down = I suppose I would say I'm not in favour of people bringing guns to church. However,
I see no reason why a responsible person shouldn't own a gun providing the person has a license to own one.

Lozza - do you remember the Toronto Blessing? All that crazy jumping up and down and uncontrolled behavoir. I was at Holy Trinity Brompton when it all took off. Alot of those people are upper class "hunting, shooting, fishing" types.
Can you imagine how weird and dangerous it would have been if they had guns...cos at the end of the day, the English Class system is
alive and well and pointing a gun at the "lower orders" wouldn't be a problem for some of the people I met there.
They used to really struggle with the fact that I was obviously lower/middle class, but also intelligent. The MINDS that these people have are dangerous
enough. Marry those minds to guns and I hate to think.....

A church member who happened to be a sheriff attended my old church. He used to strut around with his gun around his waist in full view all the time. He made
a habit of standing by the door with his arms crossed showing off his gun! I guess he was protecting the lunatic pastor from attack by all the lives he
destroyed.

charliedog, yes I remember those type of people, although I've never attended any HTB meetings. I used to attend a Messianic fellowship that was a
satellite of KT.

not1perfect wrote: Oh yeah that says it all - a man with a gun at the door, so that those who have been destroyed can't express their opinion on the matter!!!!!!!!!! Lozza - I know about Kensington Temple. I went with a friend to see the horrible Benny Hinn, do his thing, and it was the stuff of nightmares. This friend was a "Golden Boy" of Holy Trinity Brompton, but was also secretly gay - and we were both on a deep questioning time. He's thrown the entire thing to one side now, having been a "model Christian" for 20 years. I used to feel sorry for the women who would think, "now HE is the man that GOD has told me to marry." I knew he just wasn't ever going to marry, and that was that. |

While all of the pentes were in church this morning, I was at the range. I enjoyed that more than any church service. I just happened to think of this thread
while I was there.
BTW--- Luth, what range do you go to in these parts? |

Sounds like what happened in regards to Matthew Murray, after he reached the New Life Church. I've been thinking about him during this whole thread. |

The nearest range around here is a 30-50 minute drive (rarely 30 due to traffic). It's also only open at certain times.

Much to my surprise, the only range here is at Bass Pro. You have to go during the week if you don't want to wait for an hour. This surprises me as
Missouri is gun-totin' territory. I figured gun ranges would be a dime a dozen out here. There were more in Florida. Go figure.
