The idea is that you wave these things around and dance with them instead of running up the aisles or whatever. If you dont already have them in the US, I think it is a great money making vehicle if anyone is interested. Imagine if it really took off in the pente churches.
This guy is the perfect example of a Pente business. First you take an obscure scripture. Secondly you make a sermon out of it (totally ignoring any context or good theology). Thirdly you collect a few suspect testimonials and make all kinds of promises of how this will change your life/is the thing we have been missing in Christianity till now/was prophesied by Jedekiah when he said ..../you have to do this to get your blessing etc. Fourth, you start manufacturing the product as cottage industry. Fifth you start with the weekend workshops and itinerant ministry. Then you quit your real job and tell everyone that the Lawd is calling you to this ministry full time. Before you know it you have the book, the workbook, the book for kids, the book for groups, the book for men, the book for women. Then you get the coffee mugs, screen saver, mouse pad, etc. You know you have really made it when you can produce an NIV version of your own. By this time you will have branches in 10 countries and franchises in another 10. And there you have it, the Lawd has blessed you shaken down pressed togother running , chasing you down the street, coming in and going out....
