Lately I have been looking into some of the greats of German philosophy. Some of you might know that Germany produced some of the world's best philosophers in the late 1700's and through out the 1800's. Go to any bookstore to the philosophy section and you will find tomes by Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer, Fichte, Heidegger, Kierkegaard, and the like.
The stuff they produced was profound and amazing, since the German mind has been peculiar with its ability to look beyond the obvious, and really chew upon and idea, and bring forth amazing angles not seen with an obvious eye.
Right now, I am reading Emmanuel Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. These books are not easy to read for anyone, but if one is into nuances of logic analysis and abstraction, Kant's book is worth the effort. Hegel's book s extremely difficult, though and I would only recommend it to the extremely adventurous and patient student of philosophy.
See Kant here.
Is anyone into philosophy here?
