The big ones where I lived in the 80s were "Save the Whales," "No Nukes," and "Gay Rights," so of course, someone m,ade "nuke the gay whales," but when I got out to Michigan, I was volunteering in an art class and one of the kids did his typography project with "Nuke a Gay Whale for Jesus." That "For Jesus" totally made the whole thing for me.

No that I think about it, it was probably pretty scandalous for an adult volunteer to laugh so hard at that. But it *was* funny!
