The other night in my dream I started praying/crying very hard and apologizing for not believing anymore and saying christian phrases like "God, I put my life in your hands, I can't do this on my own, I need you." Things I used to say...
It was so real. I felt the emotions. It almost makes me doubt my doubts. Almost is the operative word...

My dreams seem to have calmed down lately, even though I'm working on two frightening endings to my second novel (one for each of the central characters.) For some reason, the writing really helps. In fact, I've long suspected that the real cause of my previous nightmares lies in charismania itself - yet another reason why I wouldn't go back.

Like I said elsewhere, I'm quietly getting on with my life, working as a freelance musician and hurrying to complete this...

Off topic, but, speaking of tabernacles, the other day my wife and I were talking about our new dog. She needs a shelter, so wife said I should build her a tabernacle. She was thinking back to youth camp days, where they called this two-walled, roofed, otherwise open-air, amphitheater thing the "tabernacle". Of course, it made me laugh, and I had to play with it. "So, let's see, we'll need a laver, and a candlestick, and an outer court, some curtains, ...." But...

Oh, you guys are great dreamers! I love it! I often write my dreams down, then check through them to see how the elements in them are relevant to my life.

I used to do a lot of dreams that I was in my high school. I would be either excelling, lost, angry with sexist P.E. teachers who were molesting girls, sailing down halls freely, or lost on the maze of hallways and stairs. Another favorite: I was in one of two check-out lines at Walgreens or something. Both lines were pretty long, and I had several people ahead of me. The cashier of the other line waves me over to her register, ahead of a bunch of other people in that line. I'm a bit embarrassed, and ask her "Why?" She shrugs, and says "It's your dream!"

The last couple of nights I've had a few strange dreams. In one, the assistant doctor at the surgery I attend was on television and she began pray for this little girl. In the dream, she prayed that the girl would pass out (or something like that) and the child fell backwards. It was freaky. As far as I know, the doctor isn't a Christian (although that doesn't mean she isn't.)

Then a night or two later, I dreamt I was speaking in tongues, and it was awful....
