I forgot this week was daylight savings. And I was sick and forgot to turn my alarm clock off last night. So the end result of this is that I have been up for about 5 hours now.

I'm sitting here with a hot cup of PG Tips and a nice hot Jalepeno bagel with cream cheese... and I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday morning than sitting here, browsing the web and reading with my bagel and tea.

Just thought I'd share.

Last night I spoke with my daughter... I told her how I was looking at old TV commercials from the 1960's and she commented on how she had just brought up old commercials to her dad... same day, different states... great distances. Coincidence... sure.

The commercials I was watching in leisure time after viewing some old ones while in class earlier in the week... here, take a look...

What are some of your favorite books from childhood?

* Uncle Wiggily series. I don't really remember much besides adoring the English look of the characters. I'm very sentimental about this series though and still like to look at the pictures.

* Pippi Longstocking. O my gosh, I wanted to be Pippi! I devoured anything Pippi.

* The Dark Is Rising by Susan Cooper. I still read this one and love the whole series. Much better than Harry Potter IMO. Darker and...

I was reading testimony from a suspect in a murder who claimed to be wiccan. He stated the penis is a symbol of power in the wiccan religion. Is this true? I can't seem to find anything useful online.

I personally thought it just sounded like a teenaged boy's dream religion but wanted to check to be sure.

quitting smoking

I have an upper respiratory infection and have not been smoking. But once I am better I want to continuue and not smoke. My probelm is that I stop for a while, then start up again a few months, weeks or years down the road. I want to make this permanet. Any advice or suggestions?

Thought I'd take a few lines and update on my new job that started last Monday. I now work for a small IT company in Evansville, Indiana; my business card says "Sales Manager" but it will also include service/support and a little web development. It's been a hectic week so far as I'm becoming familiar with the technologies involved.

I got by Teeandcee on a gardening message board. I'm SeaDreamer on a couple of others. People tend to assume I'm a guy when I use the SeaDreamer name...I don't know why, it seems feminine to me. I'm PartlyCloudy on a mental health board because it just fit so well there.

Tomorrow is Women's Equality Day... I'm glad lots of things were changed... and I feel it even more since I broke away from ultra controlling people/movement/organization/"religion" that still thinks women should submit, be silent and dress like "women of old".
